Death in SPECTER occurs when players come in contact with the ghost during a hunt. Alongside this, waypoints will appear above the player's dead body to signal any other players in the match about their whereabouts. Dead players will then respawn at the Purgatory, reintroducing them back at the van with a teal vision. The revive option, on the other hand, will display on the bottom of their screens to give players an option to be brought back alive. One-time revive costs 
79. If the player has the Reborn Occult Card, they can activate it when dead if there is another person that is alive in the instance. Additionally, the Necronomicon also has an offer to resurrect a dead teammate, requiring a large sacrifice in return.
Dead players can still interact with the living through the Roblox chat system. Additionally, they can trigger the Motion Sensor if it is not at level 2. Alive players can see other dead players if they have Ghost Goggles on or by the Roblox classic face that character uses.
Some of the things dead players can do:
- Search for Fingerprints around the map
- Check the book for any Writing
- Communicate with the living to figure out the ghost
- Find the location of Dirty Water
- Find the location of any Bones
Trivia
- Death waypoints used to look like a normal waypoint during its replacement in 1.14.0. This was reverted back to its original form in 1.17.0.
Bugs
- During an unknown update, alive players can see dead players if they are both facing towards each other.
- If the player is revived, their screen will still appear as if they were still dead. They can pick up objects and use keybinds to use them.
